IMPORTANT – SUNNY HILLS FLUSHING NOTICE

To address customer concerns and improve overall water quality, utility crews will begin directional flushing of the Sunny Hills water distribution system starting May 18. This process is expected to continue for approximately 7 to 10 days and is designed to remove sediment and residual iron from the water lines.

Flushing activities will take place daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to minimize disruption during morning household routines. Residents are asked to limit water use during these hours whenever possible to help prevent discolored water from entering household plumbing.

During the flushing process, residents may experience temporary drops in water pressure and occasional discoloration of water as sediment is cleared from the system. If discoloration occurs, please wait until flushing operations have concluded for the day before running an outdoor spigot or flushing your plumbing system to clear any debris.

In preparation for this work, several new fire hydrants will also be installed during the week prior to flushing activities. Residents affected by any temporary water outages associated with these installations will receive precautionary boil water notices. Please note that boil water notices will only be issued in areas where system pressure drops below 20 PSI.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to enhance water quality and maintain reliable service throughout the Sunny Hills community.
