Early this morning a transformer malfunctioned and power to the water plant was affected. Due to a loss of pressure within the system a precautionary boil water notice has been issued. FP&L were contacted and on scene to make repairs to the transformer, The City of Coral Springs was contacted to open the emergency interconnect with the system to supply water while the electrical repairs were made. This boil water is precautionary and will remain in effect until bacteriological samples are found to be satisfactory at which time a rescission will be issued.
