Lake Idlewild, Lakeside (Shangri La) and Raintree bacteriological samples have been determined to be satisfactory by the laboratory and it is no longer necessary to boil water for consumption. Black Bear will remain on Precautionary Boil Water until additional samples are determined satisfactory due to a loss of pressure yesterday. A call will go out and an update will be posted here when that rescission is approved.
Crews are on scene to repair a large water break on Hawthorne this morning. Water had to be shut down to prevent the road/sidewalk from washing out. We apologize for the inconvenience. The system remains under a Precautionary Boil Water Notice.
Several water systems are under a Precautionary Boil Water Notice due to water treatment plant pressure gauges freezing. Although the proper preparations were made, the temperatures dropped to unprecedented lows for an extended time period. Due to a water main break on Hawthorne a precautionary boil water notice has been issued. Any water used for consumption should be brought to a rolling boil prior to consuming. Rescission notices will go out as a call when bacteriological samples are determined to be satisfactory, this normally is done within 48 hours. We thank you for your patience as we make repairs.
