Royal Waterworks Precautionary Boil Water Notice

Due to an area wide power outage which took out 2 of 3 legs of power our water plant went down. Due to this there was a loss of pressure and a Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued. As there were no broken pipes or open waterways this is strictly a precautionary measure that FDEP requires when pressure drops below 20 PSI in the system. Once the required bacteriological samples are deemed satisfactory a rescission will be posted here and by reverse 911. We thank you for your patience in this matter.

Gator Waterworks Precautionary Boil Water Notice

Due to a water main break on SR 20 the water system is being shut down as crews make repairs. Residents within the system will be on a Precautionary Boil Water when water service is restored. Upon completion of bacteriological sampling and confirmation of satisfactory results a rescission notice will be issued, this normally takes 48 hours.

The Woods Is Under A Precautionary Boil Water Notice

Due to a water main break in The Woods the entire system is under a precautionary boil water notice. Crews are enroute to make repairs, once water service is re-established it is recommended that you boil your water for consumption until a rescission notice is released. This will take several days as bacteriological samples must be pulled 2 days in a row, once they have been determined to be satisfactory the rescission will be issued.

Citrus Water Works – Ellsworth Point Boil Water Notice

DRINKING WATER WARNING

BOIL
YOUR WATER BEFORE USING

Ellsworth
Point Subdivision Well Tested Positive for Fecal Indicator

Our water system detected fecal
indicator E.
coli
in the well. As our customers, you have
a right to know what happened and what we are doing to correct this situation.
On March 6, 2024, we learned that our assessment sample(s) collected from the Well
for the month of March was E.coli positive.
The two (2) distribution samples collected on the same date as the Well
were absent of any bacteria.  As required
by EPA’s Ground Water Rule, one of our follow up steps is to collect additional
samples from this well within 24 hours to determine the extent of the
problem.  This sampling will occur on March
6, 2024.

What
should I do?

DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING
IT FIRST. Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one

minute, and let it cool before using
it. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. You may also use

bottled water. Use boiled or bottled
water for drinking, making ice, preparing food, and washing dishes until
further

notice.

Also, if you have a severely
compromised immune system, have an infant, or are elderly, you may be at
increased

risk and should seek advice about
drinking water from your health care providers. General guidelines on ways to

lessen the risk of infection by
microbes are available from EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Hotline at (800)
426-4791. If

you have specific health concerns,
consult your doctor. We are also providing regular updates on this situation via
postings.

What
does this mean?

Inadequately treated or inadequately
protected water may contain disease-causing organisms. These organisms can

cause symptoms such as diarrhea,
nausea, cramps, and associated headaches. Fecal indicators are microbes whose

presence
indicates that the water may be contaminated with human or animal wastes.
Microbes in these wastes can

cause
short-term health effects, such as diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches, or
other symptoms. They may pose a

special
health risk for infants, young children, some of the elderly, and people with
severely compromised immune

systems.
These symptoms are not caused only by
organisms in drinking water. If you experience any of these

symptoms and they persist, you may want
to seek medical advice.

What
is being done?

We will keep you informed of the steps
we are taking to protect your drinking water and will provide information on
any steps you should be taking, until this problem is corrected.
