This Precautionary Boil Water
Notice is a precaution until 2 consecutive days of test results are clear. We
advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, washing dishes,
or brushing teeth be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an
alternative, BOTTLED WATER MAY BE USED.
This “Precautionary Boil
Water Notice” will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that
the water is safe to drink, at which point the boil water notice will be
rescinded. Testing normally takes two to three days to complete.
If you have any questions,
please contact U.S. Water Services at (727) 848-8292.
Due to a malfunctioning flow switch, a loss of water service was experienced to the whole community, resulting in the issuance of a

This is an important message from your water provider, Sunny Hills Utility Company.
We recently had an issue with a pressure valve in the distribution system which changed the pressure in some areas in Sunny Hills. This caused two issues. First, a backup well activated to maintain appropriate pressure. This well has a high concentration of naturally occurring iron. This sent additional iron into the water mains. Second the change in pressure caused the sediments throughout the water mains to be disturbed. The valve has been repaired and the well was returned to back up status. The utility plans to replace the pressure valve and is also currently working to install an iron removal filtration on this back up well. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The utility is currently flushing the distribution system. This did not affect all areas of Sunny Hills but in the affected areas you may continue to see discolored water until the sediments and iron is flushed out of the system however the water is safe to drink. If after the next 24 to 48 hours you continue to have discolored water within your home, you may need to flush your pipes and hot water heater.
We have received notification from the laboratory that all clearance samples collected for the recent boil water event have returned satisfactory. The boil water notice can now be rescinded
